Nah, I don't have any woodworking or "tech" knowledge.... I've just watched Norm Abram fiddle around with hard wood and glue joints on PBS television over the years.... and seen a few pictures here on the forum of guys's doing Ric restorations and rehabilitation.

I know what you mean Rich - those who can take a slab of wood and make it into something like a 4004L8 just amaze me! I didn't do anything here other than want it, scraped up the parts and sent it to Bruce... He builds some beee-u-tee-full bass as well, so I was quite confertable with whatever he did. All I can say is the bass looks, plays and sounds great! I have not seen any issues with the headstock. The upgrade is a little over a year old now - every thing seems firm and attached.
