Thank you sir. I will take it apart and take some pics of the base plate by itself .It still has some sharpy ink on it were i marked the pickup placement. I also super glued nuts to it for ease of adjustment . Works like a charm . Im going to make another one with an even hotter p bass pickup next time :wink:

Ok , Heres some more shots of just the base plate i made for the pickup. I super glued the height adjustment nuts to the plate so they would not spin . I had to cut a notch in one side to accomodate the solder points for the pick up leads. I installed just the plate and slide the pick up in place and marked out the position i wanted it with a sharpy, and drilled the pick mounting holes. Worked like a charm . It has the same tone as a horseshoe and it has pretty much the same look as well. Just need to black out the basslines logo . lol . Im going to make another one for another bass and try an even hotter pickup .

Nice, John - I've been idly thinking about using '51 P/Tele Bass-type pickups in a similar way in a bass project I'm just beginning to envision, so you're giving me all kinds of naughty ideas! :)

Thanks Paul. I was very happy with the way it turned out in all aspects. Next im going to put Dano lipstick tubes in my vintage jazz bass. :twisted:
