"The rule in North Carolina seems to be that it takes two houses to make a town & that three and a barn constitute a city." Samuel Storrow, a soldier in Sherman's army during the March to the Sea.
I also like the saying, "A fool knows where he is going. A wise man only knows where he is."
My favorite piece of advice came from my six year old daughter, who was teaching a three year old how to climb up a slide at the park, "If you lick your hands, you can climb like a monkey."

I'd add a quote from "Withnail and I" if there weren't too many classic quotable lines to choose from and it weren't already the most overquoted film ever. Remember your own favourites and chuckle to yourself here ....

Interviewer to Ringo: Are you a Mod or a Rocker?
Ringo: No, I'm a Mocker!
From The Third Man:
...in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.

Two classics that always bring a smile to my face.
Mick "Crocodile" Dundee...."That's not a knife. This is a knife"
Mick "Crocodile" Dundee...."Well, you see, Aborigines don't own the land. They belong to it. It's like their mother. See those rocks? Been standing there for 600 million years. Still be there when you and I are gone. So arguing over who owns them is like two fleas arguing over who owns the dog they live on"

I was just trying to decide which Withnail quote to enter.
GET IN THE BACK OF THE VAN!
I'll kill it but you have to get it's insides out.
We are multi-millionaires!
I invented it in Clamberwell and it resembles a carrot.

Haha. Funny how I had a few of the already quoted movies in mind. Caddyshack, Outlaw Josey Wales and The Shining were all on my list.
A great one from OJW, this one doesn't get to the speech until about 2:30 in...
Hell that whole movie had great lines throughout it.
Lone Watie (Chief Dan George): I didn't surrender, but they took my horse and made him surrender. They have him pulling a wagon up in Kansas I bet.
Josey Wales: Yeah, well, I always heard there were three kinds of suns in Kansas, sunshine, sunflowers, and sons-of-bitches.
Capt. Terrill: Not a hard man to track. Leaves dead men wherever he goes.
