I bought one recently (not this particular unit) with a photocell instead of a pot to control frequency. Through an amp with some effects, the sounds it makes are EXTREMELY annoying.

Ah well, in reality, why would I even want something to make annoying noises? There isn't anyone close enough for me to annoy anyway, except for my wife. And according to her, I can make more than enough annoying noises with my bass...

True. Mine seems to have been conveniently "losted", along with that remote-controlled fart machine that I used to take to staff meetings and hide under the boss' chair.

A boyfriend used to have the little black box that blurted out obscenities at random. Annoying, but with that extra insulting edge.

I "losted" it for him.
