Re: I MADE IT!!!!!!
Thanks everyone! This is great news... I got their offer and it was better than I expected--and naturally that includes being a dutiful TA while I attend. My wife and I are both really excited about this. Definitely a "things are looking up" moment for me.
To the Aurora, Denver, Boulder, etc. savvy... what some of the good neighborhoods to look for housing in? Is the music scene good? Specifically jazz/fusion...? Any advice about how to keep the instruments happy?
Any of you nice folks are welcome to hit me up if I'm in your neighborhood when I get up there. That includes you CJ!!

What Gary is hinting at is that he would be happy to take care of your basses while you complete your multi-year stint in grad school. Of course, he would never suggest that you won't have plenty of time to be a musical chemist.doctorwho wrote:BTW, did I mention how much work is involved in chemistry grad school?![]()

WHAT? My plan was just to whistle through like I did in highschool!
Re: I MADE IT!!!!!!
haha, yep. A good friend of mine is doing the same. He is (like most others in his class) headed to the Pharmaceutical industry, and he says that most people won't even look at ya without a Masters. I can't imagine how much work that all is!! My MBA will seem like a breeze compared to it.doctorwho wrote:BTW, did I mention how much work is involved in chemistry grad school?![]()

You mean I can't stay young forever...?
Naw, I understand. If I didn't love my subject it might be a hard pill to swallow, though...
