You beat me to the punch but I've found that a lot of lead players feel like they are expected to know everything and don't fraternize with the peons much.

The back end typically knows everything either by listening (that's what they do) or by observing.

But I guess the bass section here tends to be a bit chatty.

I would say it's because the guitar threads are spread out over the other sub-topics, but what do I know...I'm just a selfish lead guitarist.

True. I still think just comparing the guitar section to the bass section isn't the whole story.

Don't forget a lot of guitar players also play bass.

JH said that had been the case for years but basses caught up recently.

Maybe it's because we don't have as many models to choose from, those guitar guys have to spend all their time trying to figure out which model to get/play instead of posting...

Bass players are deep thinkers. Guitar players are moody and dont roady gear . lol

Nobody ever pays any attention to bass players... We've got to get recognition somehow...

The bass player is usually the one they bump into while trying to get a look at the lead player.

Maybe we should get a poll going to see the number of bassists as opposed to the number of guitarists that are regular contributors to the forum.
