Great point. I was considering trying out some hi-gains but I'm actually quite pleased with the tones of the toasters. This guitar is destined for a particular project of mine that uses mostly clean to mildly overdriven tones, regardless, so I doubt I will find cause to change them out.

I will most likely wind up trading something to my buddy for the toasters - he did, after all, get them very cheaply - so my total cost should remain not too much over where it is now. I'm actually not terribly concerned about the resale value of the instrument since I don't sell instruments, ever, anymore. I had a few unfortunate sales early in life that taught me to not sell guitars because I wind up regretting it later on. At one point, I had two Parker Flys - one would not typically find a lot of use for a second Fly, but damn, I sure wish I had that guitar still.

Very cool. I love a 620 with a trapeze and toasters, especially in JetGlo.

One thing I don't understand: why is the black finish referred to as JetGlo? I get Jet Black, but where's the glowing part?

Glo is short for Gloss...

Gloss Jet Black= JetGlo

Yeah, it can...
I did the stacked pot V/T V/T mod to my 4004 and somehow ended up getting the tone pots wired backwards.
They work, just the wrong direction. The wiring is so tight I'm hesitant to fix it...

I want'a put a trapeze on my 620 JG put I can't get my hand to put the drill to the ole girl.

Some vintage tuners would hit the spot too. There is a 1979 620 VP JG in the register with the Kluson's on it and they look mighty fine!
The '79 also has the vintage truss rod cover on it too. Dreamy...

I ordered a stereo jack plate from Guitar Parts Resource, without measuring :\

Although GPR has a great selection and shipped the part to me pronto, it doesn't fit the guitar. I needed some sort of jack support, though, so I just broke out the Dremel Moto-Tool (its proper name!) and cut the doggone thing in half, and stuck it on the guitar with 2 screws per half. I need to get the real deal....I just don't want to spend $150 on a bit of metal.
