Re: Transonic cabs w/30 inch speakers
I would have had to build a soundproof addition to my shack...

Congrats! I would love to see more pictures of the amp. Is it an original? Or is it the amp part of the B-115 put in a seperate enclosure by a (previous) owner? I posted scans of these amp series catalog in the amplifier forum if you want to compare.Zentner wrote: I might end up with the amp (amongst other things) from him as well.

I built a holiday around these which includes about 6000km of driving. F*** my life for loving enormous gear.
Bob Rissi has given me some tips on the 30" drivers, the main one being don't drive them too hard, or the voice coil will plunge through the cone!
Re: Transonic cabs w/30 inch speakers
Is a good rule of thumb a 50W amp into one of them, 100W into 2, assuming they're running clean...
I assume they're a pretty efficient speaker. And tips and tricks to keeping the longevity?
Thanks!

They may be more fragile than that. I have reliable information that 35 continuous watts is about the ceiling. I've heard the EV 30's up close though and they are the most full bodied wide spectrum speaker I can recall. Amazing.

Wow, now THAT excites me! I should get these in a couple weeks, so I'll post a review when I they get home!
