Gents in future, aside from responding generally to an enquiry such the original poster posed, please refrain from talking about a person or in this case, persons who are unable to speak for themselves on this forum.

As others have suggested either party can be contacted through other means. If you need to disseminate information such as phone numbers or email addresses we provide a private message system that works well for that particular purpose.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

While I certainly understand your point, I think it's important for people on this forum to be as knowlegeable as possible before shipping off an instrument of considerable value. In the interest of NOT maligning anyone publicly, I am offering myself as a private reference to anyone thinking of retaining the services of the aforemontioned Seattle-based luthier.

I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers Brian, but as the original poster was having a similar problem, I thought my experience was pertinent and might be of value. No slight towards Dale was ever intended.

I concur; it's clearly an issue, or this thread wouldn't exist.

Does it cease to be an issue if the thread is deleted? :D

I talked to Dale in person a few times last month, he's alive and well. Arnquist is completely MIA, he's the one who had trouble with a family member and has been very rarely heard from since. The best way to contact Dale is through BGC.
