What do you record with?
Re: What do you record with?
The iSight camera/microphone is most like way too sensitive to handle the spl of the amp. I just plug my guitars/basses straight in to the mic input on my iMac with a 1/4" to 1/8" cable and get great results.

Logic on the software end; an iMac and a PreSonus Firebox on the hardware end. Very happy with this setup!

Re: What do you record with?
I use a hand held digital recorder with built in mic. It also works well to catch a rendition with the full band at rehearsal.

Yeah, I was looking for blank cassette tapes the other evening, and you can still find 'em at Amazon.comN.F.A. wrote:Hi Jim,
Got a line on any cassettes? I am down to 3 or 4 more before I run out of new ones anyway...

The 144 looks like a handy little unit...

An older version of Logic if I want it fast, new version of Sonar for bigger pieces.Bighouse wrote:What do YOU use to take a snapshot of that bass or guitar riff you want to capture so you can repeat it again and build on it?

A friend of mine has a Boss BR1600CD that he uses and the finished product is very good. I used to use a Fostex 4 track years ago and am itching to start recording again. Right now, I'm looking for one of the BR1600s.
