I sold that 360/12V64 Turquoise to Collin awhile back. He flipped it almost immediately.
Yep, though not intentionally.....something vintage came up and I couldn't say no. :)

I like the color of the 599 that Luca is standing in front of here.

Personally, red is not my favorite color on a Ferrari.

The color of that Fiorano is called "Ruby Metallic", and it is.

I just checked the specs on that particular 599 and it says the color is Rosso Monza.

I gave up the turquoise 360/12 V64 that Collin and I once had. I then bought and am happy with this V64 in a more traditional color. It sounds and plays like a dream (has the hotter toasters).......Ron.

I suppose we could quibble, Jeff, but the Ferrari color charts I have don't even show a "Rosso Monza", although there are four other shades of red. The only metallic, however (and the car in the photo is almost certainly a metallic shade, judging from the highlights), is Ruby, which is on my charts.

Perhaps it's a one-off color; not unheard of...

What I would like to know: Is there a speed limit in Italy? Where can you take that rocket for a spin?

speed limit....pffff!

If you have a Ferrari like that, you just don't worry about the speed limit.....tickets? All they cost is money....no problemo!

Back to the issue of color: There are at least two different cars shown as the Montezemolo auction car. One is light, non-metallic red. The one in the main photo is a darker metallic shade, as is also the one in the auction link teaser photo on the right-hand side of the web page.

Also, behind Chairman Montemezolo in the main home page photo are some paint chips; three, to be exact. However, the factory color chips from Glasurit show 4 reds: Corsa, Scuderia, Mugello, and the Ruby, which is the only metallic shade. Scuderia seems to be missing from the chips on the wall, but the wall chip on the top, far right, is the same color as the car the Chairman is leaning against, which corresponds to the Ruby Metallic. There is also a lighter metallic maroon/wine color chip on the wall (third one from the right), which is not shown in my factory chip chart. The third red on the wall seems to be Corsa Red, which is a non-metallic, solid shade.

Ferraris are almost as much fun as Ricks to pin down...

This is/was Luca's personal car so it could be a one-off color. Here are the details. Maybe I should have you refinish my 4005WB in that color. 8)
