I've heard that MF has a phone-in only deal on the RW Tele (SB only) for around that price - not sure if it's still going on.

I played the RW P-Bass - very nice indeed, but priced way out of reality.

The RW P-Bass does look really hot even though I'm not into the price.

Again, CONGRATS! Whatever our opinions are on RW Fenders, you got a great guitar for a great deal! :D

The kids are awful, too. I wore a Who shirt the one and only time I've ever been there, and a metal head walked in, shot me the finger, rolled his eyes into the back of his head and bass growled "METAL!!!"

On the other hand, great score, Mitch! Hope you like it!
Jake, he was just showing you that The Who are still #1!!!!!!!!

Nice job Mitch. I tried the RW Pbass and loved it. Couldn't convince myself to go $1200 on it, but it was light, sustained forever, and yeah to me looked cool

I wouldn't worry about him. I bet in a few years he'll have sold all his guitars and retired to permanent employment in the fast food industry until the day he ODs. What kind of decent musician looks at diverse bands and styles as if they were rival football teams? He won't get anywhere or even stay with music, I'm guessing. But for you I predict better things, Jake. With your encyclopedic knowledge of your own genre as well as your thirst and enthusiasm for all kinds of musicality, you're on your way to a lifetime of deep enjoyment of Music, and of the respect of the people you will play with. 'Nuff said. 8)

That's a great price ya got that for Mitch, congrats!

I got to try a few recently, 62 s/b and OW Strat and this very Tele.
I liked the feel of the S/b Strat, and i much prefered the rosewood board over the maple ,for looks mostly!
They sell over here for around £700/800 !

I'd rather buy the one without the abuse and save me some money.

I have a friend who used to have a local music shop, I remember he once was showing me some neat instrument saying:
"I got this one of one off one of those guys that paid a lot of money for it, grew his hair long, took a heap of drugs and still couldn't play it...."

Now in my case... I grew my hair (it tends to grow) Iv'e not taken any drugs (don't need 'em)..... Still can't play!

Yeah, I've played an Oly white RW strat before too. Excellent playing, especially if they were at that price ($500ish). The relic is actually convincing too, without being a $5000 Custom shop relic.

Now.....if they had an Oly white Road Worn 60's type tele (with rosewood board). I'd be all over it.

Thanks for all the posts.Today I went to back to Guitar Center and asked if I could exchange my guitar for a blonde one.I like them both but I always wanted a blond telecaster. The manager at GC said ok so I traded for this one.It plays just as well as the other and seems to be a litle lighter in weight.

I just love the versatility of this tele ,great twang or jangly chimey ringing tones but when I put the pedal to the metal it's like a flamethrower

Nice Mitch! Gentlemen prefer Blondes, eh?

The blonde looks much better with the maple board, IMO. Nice guitar.
