Just an ordinary Fender Heavy pick

no tricks in the process of achieving the sound... plug and play into my amp, full volumes and tone pots in the JB strung with TIs flatwound

the amp was miked with a cheap desktop PC microphone directly into the hard disk without DIs box or mixer or compressor, or limiter... nothing

Hey, Francesco, do you think you could keep your Fender Jazz/4001 vids on YouTube up at least until 6 September? I'll be finally on a high speed connection, (from 3 Sept-6 Sept) and I've never been able to watch your vids from start to finish.

Here's some food for thought for ya, John Entwistle's main basses for '64-early '66 ("Can't Explain" through "Substitute") were a Rickenbacker 4001S and a '64 Fender Jazz Bass, both with flatwound strings. I'd really love to see you play "Can't Explain", "Daddy Rollin' Stone" (on the V63), "My Generation", "Kids Are Alright" and "Substitute" (on the Jazz). Not being like those YouTube pests who ask for requests, but just sayin'... :)

I'm no Francesco, heck I'm not even Italian, or an RRF Consultant, but if you wanna see those songs performed on those basses just come to an Eggmen show!

Oh and FYI, Substitute was recorded with a Gibson EB-3.
