Try using a hard light source, such as the sun, that glances across the fingerboard to accentuate the contrast of the indentations.

Will do, but we haven't had much sun here in Boston since I got the guitar (at least when I've been home - hazy, hot and humid). Saturday is supposed to be a nice day.

It doesn't have to be the sun, try a desk lamp that has a halogen bulb in it without any diffusor in front of the bulb.

Good idea, Jeffrey. Thing is, my camera battery is dead, it's late, so this'll have to wait until tomorrow.

When I grab an axe, I don't caress it, I choke it. So, with the jumbo frets, if I gently play a chord, the tuning is fine, but if I finger it the way my hand naturally fingers an instrument, it's horribly out of tune.
One solution might be heavy gauge strings. Say, 13s. Fine with me.
I also tend to squeeze way too hard when I play guitar which also caused my playing to sound way too sharp.
I put 12s on my 650 (and also on my 380L) and it sounds fantastic!
Highly recommend thicker strings for guys like us.

I had posed the question a while back about the 650D frets/neck vs the 650C neck with the more standard type Rick fret board varnish finish. The response I got from forum members that had both C's and D's was that they felt the 650C frets did not feel as "jumbo" with the varnish finish as the 650D's. Maybe a C model 650 would be the ticket?
I'm going to soon find out for myself as I just got an email today from MF that my 650D is on the way.
