MUCH easier in Apple OS...simply open the Special Characters window and wail away--there's hundreds of confusing pictograms there in addition to all the oddities seen on the Latin alphabet. Latin O with a slash and it's the symbol for electrical phase, as in 3 phase ( or 3 Ø)
FYI, for those not familiar with the shortcuts for this symbol, press and hold down the alt key and type in 0216 and release the alt key (in Windows anyway).
