Nice Jake, congrats!

See----this time last year you were still dying for a 1997 Reissue, and now a year later you've gone through three of em!

Who knows what next year will bring!?!

Thanks everyone! :)
libratune wrote:Great news, Jake! Glad the 1997 arrived safely and that you are pleased with it. Of all the 1997 RIs listed on the Register, your 1986 has the earliest date.

Also -- dig that form-fit case! It doesn't get any better!
Thank you, Ron! It was a pleasure doing business with you, and I hope we will have more dealings in the future.
johnallg wrote:Congrats to you both. TWO Ricks, Jake??!! Careful, you'll soon be a collector!
Ah, I've been job hunting, so it definitely won't stop there!

You should see it in person. I can't photograph how awesome it looks. It's less red and more orange, more like early AFG.

Actually, I haven't been listening to The Who that much lately since The Beatles have been remastered. Still love windmilling, though :)

Probably a 360/12CW…really hoping for one of those. I really want a Janglebox before anything else happens.

JakeK wrote:Okay, so here's a little story for you all...In February of this year, a guitar of mine was no more, a 1998 model 1997. I loved that guitar, but needed a replacement after the accident.
I haven't been active on this forum in the past year or so, so I don't recall what happened to your other guitar. It is funny how something as simple as a middle pick-up can really throw someone off. I grew up playing a telecaster with a bridge that was very comfortable to rest my hand on when picking. Just about any other guitar I have doesn't have this style of bridge and I miss my hand rest. Little details like that make really nice guitars into non-players.

Good luck with your new model.

Congrats, '89—'91 were some of the best times for RIC reissues.
