You know, I thought this was a thread for a band I'd never heard of. Great name for a band. Bad injury to have sustained. Get well soon, Kevin.

Operation should be over; update us whenever you can, Kevin.

Hi everyone!
Yes, the operation is done and went well. I'm back to work today because my boss is a jerk!
I go back in next Monday to get the stitches out and then get the hard cast. I hope I can set my foot down then!
I'm getting around ok, and trying to be patient, but it's going to be a long recovery!
I still plan on going to the Mini-RIO!
Thanks again!

Yup, like John says Kev, don't try and do too much too early, unless you are being pushed in supervised PT or given specific exercises from them.
It's much better to manage any injury on the front end for long term recovery, rather than play catch up later. I've seen many one step forward, two step backwards cases over the years, where impatience and ego did not make a good combination.

Great to hear you are doing well, Kevin.
I suppose I'd better get a move on MICRIO!

Kevin, I'm sorry you can't get some time off. Hope it doesn't set back your recovery. But I'm really glad the operation went well. As John said, get lots of rest and don't push yourself too hard unless the doctor says so. Just enjoy being a couch potato; maybe catch up on your reading.
