I have frankly never heard of him but it is Pete Anderson

Pete Anderson, producer and guitarist on many of those early Dwight Yoakam recordings. He's also produced for Roy Orbison, the Meat Puppets, Flaco Jiminez, Sara Evans and is the owner of indy Roots label Little Dog Records. Recently, he recorded backing tracks that were used for Guitar Center's "King of the Blues" competition. Sadly, his association with Dwight Yoakam ended rather acrimoniously after a 20 year collaboration and ended up in the courts. If you're at all familiar with Dwight's records, then Pete's playing should have been recognizable -- he has a very distinct phrasing style and tone.

Pete played all the instruments except the organ on the track I provided, titled "Glad I Don't Live Here". The song is from his 2004 release "Daredevil" on Little Dog records.

I can't say that I know of Pete Anderson. That's the beauty of this forum. You can get an education whilst you are having fun.
