Does 86 count as late 80s? This one looks pretty nice

Yes, 1986 counts! And I agree...That one looks nice and all original.

Well, I used my brand new '86 4003 in my hair band "Dream Warriors" in 1987-1989. And yes, we took our name from the Dokken song. Good times.....
I used my '86 4003S in 1987-1989 doing the "Hair" thing!
I've got a picture around here somewhere to prove it, too!

No need to search, Kevin. I've found it for you. Do you still have the studded leather outfit?

My band was all about the Spandex. I had the purple and black zebra-striped pants. Each one of us had a different color combination. NICE.

I feel for you guys!
My band in the 80's played stuff from the 60's and 70's mostly, with some 80's stuff from the Stones, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray and a few others in the same vein. I totally rejected all the hair bands. Didn't want to see, hear, or have anything to do with them.
Yeah, it probably cost me my 15 minutes of fame (not!) but at least the old photos won't turn up to haunt me when I run for president!

I did it, but I didn't like it. Chalk it up to peer pressure from my friends!
Let that be a lesson to you, boys and girls!

Oh, one of these days.
It's pretty embarrassing though!

There are a few photos of the band floating around. The thing I am worried about is I know one show was video taped by the lead guitarist's girlfriend. I keep expecting to find it on Youtube or Facebook.

"...the most ardent cap booster..."
Hi, Bob. Seriously, I'll take that as a compliment, teehee!
As for the 1986 4003 at issue huh... Everything on it looks "normal", except for the one-piece pickguard

What gives?
