Nice.

I had a Monty FL with Walnut Ears...but it was a 2005, and it was a Louisville Slugger in disguise!

Two, a 1977 4001FL BG (with faux black trim accents) and a 1997 4003FL TUR.

Gary, I thought you also had a 4000FL from about '75.

Of course I do, but the title of the thread says " ... 4001FL /4003FL Count" so I didn't include the 4000FL BG. I tend to to take things literally ... so please don't tell me, "Go jump in the lake!" :D

I think any fretless Ric is ultimately welcome, probably including Dane's 4004"FL" and arguably the most famous fretless Ric to date, Miss Ginger's 4002FL.

Tony, you keep referring to your fretless, but where are the pics? I say you're a big phony.

Ah, Joshua...what can I say?? I've always been shy about posting pics of my basses.

I have LOTS of pics on my external drive of all my long lost love FL's. One of these days I'll get around to resizing and posting them.

I've had a 79 4001 MG FL, a 2005 4003FL Monty Brown, a 2007 AFG 4003FL that I traded to JDOG for the one in this pic, my 92.
It STILL has the ORIGINAL black RIC flat wound strings on it and it SOUNDS & PLAYS AMAZING.

Joey is seen here holding my 71.

Joey that Burgundy bass is so cool.................... Maybe next year I'll get to look at it from a distance of ten feet (a safe tackling distance )
