Kenny, Lennon didn't decide to go with black, it just happened. You made the conscious decision to match.

Mojotone has some colors of "rough" tolex (that is the basketweave pattern), but nothing terribly interesting. I hope their orange is better than the way it looks in the pic.

Nope, rough and basketweave are different - the basketweave is more detailed.

Of course, one won't be able able to tell the difference from 5 feet away, but still.

I'm a tube nut, but I realize that to the person in the audience that it just might not matter at all if I'm playing through a pile of diodes or ancient top cap tubes through refrigerator-sized iron. With this in mind, it makes perfect sense that we could obsess about the perfect tolex texture.

I'll keep an eye peeled (hmmm, sounds painful) for a good basketweave.

Scored some Orange! Stashing that away for a rainy day. Now to find the green.

There's a fellow named Ken Jones, I believe, who has a cabinet building operation around here (Kernersville, NC), and he builds cabinets for (some of the very companies mentioned in this thread)...
I haven't been to his shop but knowledgeable people claim he's got every sort of tolex-like material anybody has ever seen used on anything made in the 20th century... well I don't know about that but the operation is extensive. I'll see if I can his contact info! I'm pretty sure he has this stuff.

Mojo Supply now has orange and white basketweave in stock. (Yes, basketweave, not rough tolex).

I have red, purple, fawn, black, and mahogany AC30 cabs, so I'm also interested in expanding my collection. I've seen that Matamp green online, too, so if someone finds it (or any other cool color), please post.
