Speaking of baking -- and waiting -- though I have a long wait until I can open that box, it's not a long as the wait for the lasagna my wife's been working on. She's half Italian, so these things just have to be done right. Day 1, Sunday was making the sauce (gravy as her family calls it). Day two (yesterday) was more work on the sauce and making the cheese mixture. Day 3, today, will be making the pasta noodles and, hopefully, baking it. I hope she hurries up, I'm getting hungry!
I only have to wait 2 days for this box...

You have NO IDEA now many days tick past smelling something cooking that I THINK is going to be for dinner, only to find out....it's dinner for a few days away!
This place has been smelling like a bakery for WEEKS! Lots of cookies, cakes, breads and OTHER goodies....I hope Peter gives room to make LARGER avatars!
I'm going to need longer arms to play bass soon!
The good thing is, the "gravy" stains on your shirt will match the new bass!

Eh, that's my kind of "gravy", with meatballs, sweet and hot Italian sausages, brasciole, spare ribs, chicken drum sticks and rolled pork skin!! MMMmmmm!

We keep going like this, I'll have to move part of this thread into Tony's cooking forum!

It started out at -31F this morning, but it's gotten a
LOT warmer, we're all the way up to +0.1 right now! A regular heat wave!

My wife is a SoCal girl, that's why NY winters were tough on her. Your winters would frighten her beyond imagination!

But you keep talking about food and an invite, I might show up after your thaw out.
