Would I try to make you listen to bad music?ajish4 wrote:Guilty of not listening to new artists....I really liked this....thanks Joey!
If I can find out, I'll let you know!blueflamerick wrote:Anyone know what he's using to get that overdriven tone?
I was hoping that Diane would do this series. When she heard what I had posted, her curiosity got the best of her as she really likes DCFC very much. Maybe she will do it...well see!ozover50 wrote:Nice stuff indeed...... thanks, Joey and Diane!
I listen to new music to help not become an old fart and if I ever do get back into teaching bass, I don't want to be viewed as such by a youngster.cjj wrote:I'm in my 50's so I'm officially an old person, and yeah, there are a lot of new "artists" that, in my opinion aren't worth listening to. But there is some really great talent out there. I think this series could be a great introduction to some of the new groups and a lot of fun new music to learn to play...
I was on the other side of Pat in that picture. The avatar was just not big enough for the three of us!jps wrote:Is that your new honey, Diane?
Does Joey know?
This exact thing happend to me a couple of days ago. Glad to know who it is!rickenbrother wrote:The first time I heard this song, I was riding in my car and the first thought that came to mind, was the singer sounds alot like a certain singing bassist that gets alot well deserved praise on this forum.
Yes but remember cjj, as far as originality is concerned, most often new artists and new groups are heavily influenced by older groups. Listen and tell me what you think -- could this group have been an inspiration for Death Cab for Cutie? I think definitely.cjj wrote:Hey, you old people, there's a lot more out there than just The Beatles and The Byrds... (ducks for cover)
