Yes the bass is looking & sounding great, some people often think that Ric basses are fragile but they can take a lot of bangs and knocks in their stride. That said the first knock it took with me owning it, I almost had a heart attack. But I treat it to a good T-Cutting & Rotosound RS66 Swing Bass strings.

Shawn, the first knock is always hard to bear on an instrument, new or used. :)

Yes I do love this bass on so many levels. The neck feels great I know that the newer 4003's have a thin neck, and I still enjoy playing it or just looking at it when it is on the stand. The Fireglo finish has started to amber & I have started to get parts for a more vintage look, by adding a V63 scratchplate & treble pickup surround and vintage style control knobs. Next on the list will be the toaster pickup & hopefully one day the Horseshoe pickup.
