Thanks Mark, and thanks to everyone else as well-----I'm not sure what else we have from those days, Randy has recently converted a bunch of stuff to digtal so we'll see what turns up. I still have the bass, although the 'guard and TRC are black now(there is a pic of it in the register)...I still have my original white pieces stored away.walker wrote:Awesome job, John! You and the whole band. I have even more respect and admiration for you now than I did before! A few of my bands tried to pull that one off back in the day, too. Unfortunately, I have no saved record of any of those shows. I can only hope that we came close to getting it this good. YYZ isn't easy to pull off, but you guys made it look easy. You had Geddy's Rick tone nailed, too. If I wasn't watching the vid, I could have been convinced that it was RUSH themselves. Your guitarist even had Alex's new-wave mullet down!
I also got a kick out of the lone YYZ Dancer.
Sidebar: Your bass then looked just like my '79 4001SLH before I painted it:
And here is a pic of Randy and I, about 2 weeks ago in California...I always called his hair 'MacGyver Hair' back then(LOL) 'cause I think it was big on TV back then...
We have been friends since we were about 5 or 6 years old.
