Top two:

For a solid: Blue Boy

I'd love to see a pale green like one of the Fender Custom Color greens.
Absolutely! One of the main reasons I was prompted to go out and get myself a new Telecaster was the range of 50's Cadillac colours. (This one: viewtopic.php?f=44&t=390680&p=565941#p565941).

My vote went straight for Blueboy without a doubt.

Maybe you were limited in the number of choices in the poll, but you don't list Burgundy, the COY for 2002. Yes, Turquoise was not a COY. FYI, the official list is:

2000 Sea Green (SG)
2001 Desert Gold (DG)
2002 Burgundy (BG)
2003 Montezuma Brown (extended through 2004) (MB)
2004 Blue Boy (BB)
2005 Blueburst (BBR)
2006 Amber Fireglo (AFG)

John Hall stated that Amber Fireglo was by far the most popular COY (as far as orders go). Sea Green appeared to be the biggest flop, although it was the first COY effort, and came out before the Internet became such a big factor among enthusiasts. Sea Green was such a radical departure for tradition-oriented RIC, it probably didn't go over well with dealers whose customers were used to the usual Fireglo, Jetglo, Mapleglo finishes.

Thanks, Paul, inadvertently left off Burgundy. Write in votes are welcomed for Burgundy :D

Added note, but I also think Burgundy was available in '99 and '00, then skipped a year.

I'd have to pick Burgundy as my favorite, followed by AFG - because my AFG is absolutely gorgeous. As for Monty Brown, I think it looks OK, but doesn't really float my boat. Of course, I've only seen pictures, I might have a different feeling if I'd actually seen it in person...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

I would vote Burgundyglo with 2004 Montezuma Brown in very close second.

Is Dark Cherry Metallic allowed as a COY as it was only available in one year?

Somewhat of a stretch since it was an Anniversary only edition and very limited, IMHO. But what the hey, if it floats your boat :)

Speaking of 50s Cadillac colors, how about pale/butter yellow for a Rick COY? :D The finish is on my list for future Rick projects.

Sea Green's probably my next favorite COY after Blue Boy, but then I'm not very traditional when it comes to my taste in Rick finishes-I don't own a single burst, and can't wait to trans red my two bird's eye MG 381s.

Pearl orange or apricot would also be very, very nice.
I'm trying to picture these colors in my mind. They sound intriguing, but I'm trying to get the scheme.

I've given this a lot of thought, and I guess I'll go with Sea Green!
Hey Paul - you could always go this route with your 381:

Tough choices. I finally settled on AFG. Monty Brown was the other one I really liked.

Monty Brown #1 for me (no surprise there) followed by AFG. I'd love to get my hands on an AFG 350v63!!

I voted for Blueburst.... I've always had a thing about blue guitars!

But Monty brown is a close second, and I love the look of sea green, especially on a 360. It's just such a cool retro look.... I wish I had one! 8)
