Oh yes, Courtney compares very favorably to Keith.... they're practically in the same league.

Maybe in some respects . . .certainly not music or legacy etc, but I'm sure they both have seen the bottom of a few bottles

I wouldn't advise drinking after EITHER of them. ...but given the choice, I'd much rather jam with Keef. Can't abide Courtney's guttural wailing on the mic.

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say I am a fan. Live through this is a great album, Celebrity Skin is pretty good, too.

This isn't as good as Hole's previous stuff, but then again this isn't really Hole - it's Courtney and 3 studio musicians.

Anyway, she's got talent and a great guitar.
My previous comment was an equal slam against Pete Dogherty.

Plus, there's probably a "she drove Kurt over the edge" dislike factor for some of our fellow forumites ingrained in their comments.

I like "Malibu"

Harsh!

I thought it was great----Courtney hasn't sounded this good in years, and she looks much healthier these days.
Gotta differ from you there... This is better than ever? This is sober?

Oh yeah... and she is using a teleprompter at these Hole gigs.

I thought the only song she ever wrote that I ever paid attention to was "Malibu". I do now have a fixation on the ole' wacky Venus 12 string at the moment 8) Anyone know anything about em hands on??

Decent instruments, as were all the "Squier Vista" series guitars. In fact, some of them were initially designed to be sold as much more expensive Fender branded instruments (priced in line with other higher end Japanese-made Fenders), and at the last minute they were branded in the Squier line for some reason.

Very high quality guitars, though I'm not a huge fan of the Venus. I much prefer the Jagmaster and Supersonic designs from the same series.

Seen that Scotty - she just dropped a 40 odd year old guitar flat on the deck for no effect or purpose or reason...didn't even sound or look good.

The song sounded OK, but the whole thing left some questions re. Celebrity culture and the value of plastic surgeons.
