i haven't lived with a TV for more than twenty years; guess I'm just hopelessly out of the loop. But when I hear about the interesting network TV moments that I've missed (all three of them

) I know I can always find them on YouTube.
To be fair, I must admit that I'm addicted to public domain movies as offered freely on several sites on the net. Roger Corman is my main man.

Hmm,
Mad Men
I ditched the premium channels at my roommates' request, but I used to watch:
Dexter
Californication(don't miss it, the character is too much of a self absorbed flake, and the material is too crude too often!).
The Tudors (likewise don't miss it; turned a bit too much into a filthy soap opera)
I really liked Rome when it was on and thought it deserved more than two seasons.
Battlestar Galactica (the new millenium version, not the 70s version)
Caprica
Desperate Housewives
Also like to watch Turner Classic Movies, Fox Movie Channel, and American Movie Classics
Classic Warner Brothers Cartoons, as well as some of the other Classic Cartoons; usually from the 1950s or earlier.
Big fan of History and Science Channels as well.
Like the VH1 rocumentaries as well.
That's all I can think of.

Yes to the Science Channel stuff...I really can't stomach the network dreck anymore.
Right now the penguin (on the tele) and I are watching a show about the history of submarines. Neat. blub-blub-blub

I gave up commercial TV 3 years ago and never looked back. I still watch the tube, but it's through
my Blockbuster subscription and is quality
....for the most part

Here are some of the ones that I make it a point to catch:
Mad Men
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The League
South Park
Family Guy
Sienfeld
Old cartoons whenever I see them (very rare)
The Office
The occasional history channel doc
Mythbusters w/ my wife (it's one of her favorites)
We're thinking about dropping back down to just basic or less on the cable though and just watching most of it through a laptop hooked up to a tv

I never watch network "situation comedies" or the endless variations of Crime Scene and Law and Order shows.
Public Broadcasting is my thing, including re-runs of British comedies; along with some fair and balanced news on one of the cable channels... including a few political commentary shows that have good "all star panels" participating in ideological foodfights. Typically I like to watch:
McLaughlin Group (PBS)
Antiques Roadshow (PBS)
Huell Howser (PBS)
Austin City Limits (PBS)
Soundstage (PBS)
Keeping Up Appearances (PBS)
As Time Goes By (PBS)
Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace
Special Report with Brett Baier
The O'Reilly Factor
Nova (PBS)
Frontline (PBS)
Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson
Lakers games
Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew
Good Day L.A. ... when we are getting ready in the mornings.
We also watch dog stuff on The Animal Planet Channel "Me or the Dog" and "Dogs 101" on the weekends
Generally, I do Ric practicing when others in our household want to watch stuff like:
"The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette"
"Dancing with the Stars"
"America's Next Top Model"
"Keeping Up with the Kardashians"
Any of those E-Channel insider-tell-all gossip shows
and when they want to watch anything/anytime on The Lifetime Channel -----
