The pup was a switch issue, that made my day. I now have TIs on her and they sound and feel great! I'll get some better pics of the figure in the body and post them soon.

Trying to capture the figure(Birdseye) is tougher than I thought. I'll have to set up better. For now time to play before work.

Don't use flash, use either natural light or, as I do, studio hot lights.

Ted, I can see some of the bird'-eye figure in the wood. Nice grain pattern as well on that 4001.

+1
The grain and figure in the maple of my 730L acoustic really came to life in direct sunlight:

Thank you Joey, I think the Ric people did a real nice job. I'll have to try natural light, That acoustic is beautiful!

Gary, did you shoot that under moonlight?

No pics in natural light yet then again haven't seen the sun since then. Being that I'm just starting up again after a 20year hiatus I decided to take some lessons, The teacher said," we're going to clean up your left hand" instead of playing with primarily your first and third finger, play with your first and second and fourth. Besides being Awkward! at first it started to make sense. So I'm curious what others do?

Well, no! I guess I do really need to read
and understand my 200-page camera manual ...

Almost exclusively all 4 fingers (we are talking the fretting hand, right?) but depends on the pattern or run.

Thanks John, Yes the fretting hand, should have clarified that. Trying to incorporate the the fourth(pinky) finger more is definitely working different muscles. Gary was the blue cast in the pic from resizing the photo? I noticed when resizing to post, the pics had a blue tint until I clicked off the pic.
