Ya know Joey....I NEVER tried just one pickup on my FL's....
I usually have it set the same way I do my 4001's and 4003's. Everything maxed, then back off each knob just a tad.
I have to give it a try....

I almost always use only one pickup. However, the other night while recording with my 4001FL, I found myself running both Toasters together and really loving the punchy vintage sound.

That's how I used to dial in the 4001 I used to have when I played in college jazz bands in the early '80's.FretlessOnly wrote:I just found that sweet spot - backing off the neck pickup volume about 5-10%.
