Thank you my friends! Yes, older, hopefully wiser, and richer in human experience. As Steve said, may our paths cross soon. And Scott, you've brought me to tears. And how'd you know I've been working on my physique?! Nobody likes an old, fat, rock star. Well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

It would have been a perfect day if the men's US hockey had come through. The better team won though. A great game in all.

Thanks you all! :D

I don't normally do the birthday posts John, but I'll make an exception this case. I started seeing your posts on the Ric corporate forum 4 years ago (time flies) and many were very helpful to me. You wiring diagram of the 4001 was much appreciated. I was glad that I could finally find a source of the Yes documentary for you - even if it was on Youtube... ;)

Thanks again all! The day wound down after the last of the Olympics to a starting read of a present I received - "Here, There and Everywhere - My Life Recording the Music of The Beatles." Geoff Emerick appears to be a genuine bloke that is good relating a story. A few chapters in already.

I think that you'll like it, John. Some have questioned his memory on some of the technical details, but I found his observations of the various personalities the most interesting. By at least halfway through, you'd think that Lennon was his least favorite (due to his temper), but I came away with the impression that Ringo actually won that honor. However, you'll need to get through most of the book to find out why. :o

Thanks, Ron. :)

David, so far the technical details seem to me to be his forte. His impressions of the Beatles personalities seems to be totally limited to the time in the studio, with no inkling of what was happening the rest of the time in their lives. His impressions of GM are also interesting...

I have read this a few times. It gives great insight to behind the scenes. Obviously Geoff and Macca got on well.
