I think that binding is kina a grey area it can easly be construed in part of the finish warrenty 1 year.. the reason i say this is enviorment can play a big part in this.. also non Rick approved strings (high tension) pulling the neck to much... so I would guess they would want to look at all these things on a case by case situation..... this is just my opinion though .....John

Nice to know that Rickenbacker stands behind their products that way.

Yep, RIC CS is definitely stellar in my limited experience with them. Kenny and Richard are always helpful.

I just shed a tear of joy reading this thread. :D

I'm in love with my Oct '08 MID 4003--spellbound (first Ric). Though I previously thought my next Ric would perhaps be an older one (4001/4003), I'm now convinced to order a new one solely to support this awesome American company and ensure yet another record sales year for Rickenbacker in 2010! (Though, I was kinda hoping to get an FL, but I gather they're not making them currently?)

Anywho, three cheers for RIC!

Peace.

I had a problem with the finish on my 4001CS years ago and they took care of it thoroughly, no charge, no questions asked. :D
