My cousin, Nicola Smith has just completed a PHD in British Northern Soul music (A first I believe)
She is being presented with her doctorate at the Royal Albert Hall in London by Sir George Martin.
We are a musical family!

My Brother-in-Law was the drummer in a psychedelic 60's band called Toby Twirl!

Good tune Rob.

Now Toby Twirl is such a bad name it's good!

Love the Dexy's version of that too.

We always used to have a little section of the evening with Mod cross-over tunes, things like Nobody But Me by The Human Beinz (on Rob's recent and rather excellent compilation CD) and this dancer B side by the Kinks.

It's gone quiet - are we there yet?
