I mucked around with the amp settings and that did the trick!...somewhat. I now have "Treble" at around 5 or 6 and "Bass" at 4 or 5. Maybe that's why the '62 Strat and '65 Twin are so compatible, because the Midrange plays a factor in the sound...Ric-O-Buc wrote:My advice is to experiment with the settings on your amp - ie: don't have the treble wide open.... there's a trade off between noise and tone. also - ride the volume on your guitar between rhythm and lead tones.... my strat will howl at rhythm volumes and high volume settings on the guitar - but I can still get usable sounds by allowing for the gain by adjusting my volume on the fly.

1) change you position on stage and do not stop playing
2) get kinman pickups...they sound great and are silent...

Re: How to cancel hum?
Semi-unrelated (meaning, half-related?) but do Ric pick-ups hum slightly?
My 360's bridge pick-ups seems to produce some very soft humming by its own - is that normal?
I don't mind, but my Paul Gilbert Ibanez slinging teacher did, I think...

Re: How to cancel hum?
I don't detect any hum from my 325's bridge position.
The best way to eliminate hum on a Strat? Put the switch in the bridge/middle position...that's where the tone is! Set it and forget it!

I know, but still, but then... does't bother me. And it doesn't keep my teacher from playing Van Halen on the 360jps wrote:Like all single coil pickups they will buzz some.Wildberry wrote:Semi-unrelated (meaning, half-related?) but do Ric pick-ups hum slightly?
