Yo. So here we are, the converter comb demo video. Sorry it was a little windy out on the dock today, but the audio quality is not too bad. The original video (before I compressed the **** out of it to fit it into a youtube friendly format) is actually really clear, so if you want me to mail you a disc (mainly so you can see the string angle close up view more clearly), just contact me and we'll work out the particulars. It's really hot today, so I'm glad I did this in one take. Seriously, when I got in my car to leave for home this afternoon the readout said 99 degrees F. No joke. I don't think that's quite accurate but it sure is toasty down here. (should I say "Up" here for you Aussies?) ENJOY!!!!!

Ah, so you release it from that post and kinda set it manually...that's so cool!

Thanks so much for the vid, I've been perplexed by this for years!

Yeah, it was a nice narrative of the comb. Well done. First time I've actually seen how it functions.

Nice video, J-Dog!

Now i'm bummed that I never bought a comb assembly for my 336/12 before I sold it. Could been tinkering with that cool gadget. :)

Jason the real interesting thing that i learned from your video was that you dont need to engage all the octave strings together.Im hoping everyone who hasn't had a Comb converter enjoyed this a much as i did.
Thanks again.

You're very welcome. It was a lot of fun actually, and much easier than I thought it would be, soup to nuts (meaning from getting out the camera to copying the files and uploading to youtube).

No worries Gil, you've got plenty to do to keep the forum running. But I'd still like to see your video when you have a chance.

I wanted to record mine with my amp but I found out I don't have the mic clip for my mic stand, such a small piece of plastic that I left in our rehearsal room.
Today I took it with me so perhaps tomorrow I'll be able to record it.
Another problem I have is that my only video camera is my 5D mkII SLR which like all Video SLRs is great with videos but lacks autofocus in video mode so I need to think of something :)
So long and thanks for all the fish!
