The Brian Jones era is definitely my favorite with the Mick Taylor era second. I've listened to a great deal more of the old Stax material so that's opened up a lot more of the early material to my ears beyond the big hits. The swagger of the second era makes for some good times though.

I like all of it! Realistically though, I'd say I dig a lot of stuff from all the three eras of guitarists. Brian Jones was great in his way, as was Mick Taylor, but I'm also a big fan of Ronnie Wood, and Some Girls is my favorite Stones album. There's just a ton of kickass' energy on that disc, and it was obvious that Keith and Ronnie were enjoying the give and take, the "weaving" they have become well known for.

I really am a big fan of the Brian Jones era, which is 1963-1969. Some great songs came out of that pile: "Satisfaction", "Get Off of My Cloud", "Not Fade Away", "It's All Over Now", "Time Is On My Side", "The Last Time", "Paint It, Black", "Let's Spend the Night Together", "Ruby Tuesday", "She's a Rainbow", "Jumpin' Jack Flash", "Can't Always Get What You Want". Probably my favorite era of the Stones. Brian was the soul of the band that held everything together.
Yep.....that's the Stones for me........Brian's era...after that era, ESPECIALLY after Wyman left, they could no longer keep their axes in tune, nor themselves anywhere close to sober......I personally think Keith and Mick are vampires........I mean no disrespect, but.....they are SCARY

That's one of my favorite Stones songs as well...and albums. I usually just play the whole thing. I tend to like the Jones-era Stones the best, but I think part of that appeal is that they just looked cooler back then.

Yeah I agree, because they didn't look like the living dead back then.
