Right on Ron!
You'll love it!
So damn cool!
saw the film in a video cafe that was a private room reserved for twenty people with big round leather chairs (like in the "friendly giant" surrounding a round table. they had big bowls of coffee with handles on them and pastries. very atmospheric.
great vid and had lotso laughs, being from that same brand of canadian humour ! to those that saw it...in the beginning, there is bearded alex arguing with his parents at home about not wanting to be rich or a business man...that was filmed by alan king and was a documentary on the , then current wants and attitudes of young people in canada and their feelings on what they wanted to do with their lives. try checking alan king/alex lifeson on the net and it may show the whole film that was shot or at least an explanation. i see they missed talking about their first live album that was recorded over 3 nights at massey hall in toronto of which a buddy/ex lighting guru for the early dwarfs shot on super 8.

It was playing in my area last Thursday, but I'm in a bowling league and couldn't make it. I did, however, pre-order the Blu-ray from my local music store. Can't wait!

That's interesting, Ron. I wondered who shot that footage! I was telling my brother about it yesterday...He asked who shot it...I said: "Hmmm...I don't know, I think maybe his dad?"
So now I know!

dear mr. addict,
i had noticed all the multiple camera angles with the un-interupted soundtrack, as said...hey...that's too perfect for a home movie ! so i asked a jewish friend of mine in toronto that is best of friends with geddy and alex.

Yep. The remastered ESL DVD is smokin'. Best Rush bass tone ever.

This should be mandatory viewing for all forumites! Regardless of whether you like Rush or not, it's a fun movie.

I have a very strange affair with RUSH. I am one of those that absolutely respect their ability as musicians, but I have to be honest .. I can only take Geddy's voice in limited quantities. nothing against him or them of course, just a matter of personal tastes. I am going to watch the movie though because I am interested in their story

Really surprised they are showing it on DVD BEFORE the DVD is out. I heard June 28 for the DVD release, am I wrong?

just went to the VH1 Classic site and it's a sure deal. they are airing it as that nights edition of their program "Rock Docs", a documentary series
