Just downloaded my copy of Mojo from iTunes today, and I love it. It brings out a whole different side of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Very bluesy indeed, and very cool.

I think we should just have our next mini-con at their clubhouse. Won't have to worry about having a drum kit, PA, amps, etc.

I like Mojo a lot, and I think it's about time TP and the band got back to playing gritty rock 'n roll. There's been too much light and soft stuff lately for my tastes. There's a lot of bluesy stuff on this disc that's a real departure for them. Almost reminds of the Allman Bros. in spots. Mike Campbell sounds like Albert King at times. Cool.

The only thing that's missing is Rick 12-string jangle, and for that's perplexing and a little disappointing.

Some of it even reminds me of very early Led Zeppelin.

For me, this is the best stuff TP&TH have ever done. Brilliant.

Love this album. Very swampy.
