I wonder how the Searchers got offered this song?
The song was a left over from Street Legal and it certainly could not have gone on Bobs next album as he had just gone into his born again period, so maybe Bob did not feel like doing it himself, but I wonder how the searchers ended up with it.

Don't think they were offered it, it was, as I stated, part of their live act. They may well have heard the Byrds version
