The C64 starts with the reverse headstock. Otherwise, it's what you might see if RIC were to simply reissue a '64 4001S. That includes concessions to technology such as the modern truss rod system and modern horseshoe pickup.
The C64S incorporates other McCartney-specific features. In addition to the reverse headstock, it has shaved body horns, zero fret, different pickup surround, satin finish body and neck.
I forget what the "S" in 4001S stands for, but it indicates the non-deluxe version of the 4001: no triangle inlays, no binding, no stereo output. In lieu of binding, the body is more contoured. But that's a different "S."
