If this bass was for me I'd probably swap out all the black metal parts for chrome and leave the black plastic (pickguard and TRC) like white 4001's used to be before black trim was an option.
But I'll wait until I give it to my son and then let him decide.
That's about an extra $500 in parts, by the way.

LOL c'mon, good parenting isn't measured by things like that. I had guilt feelings for not letting him play the Shadow... a good dad would

and I didn't.
I really hope he will like Ziggy, he's in the inevitable Jaco phase now and therefore uses only the Jazz bass (learning The Chicken now off of
Invitation).

I have a Jazz Bass bridge pickup you could put in the bass.
