Nice and clean under the hood Mark. I must say again what a beauty that guitar is. I wonder why the TRC says it's a 360 though?

Wow, I can't recall ever seeing a factory double-bound that was done with both sides in checkered binding other than for the F-body and 381 models.
Congrats, Mark -- that's a rare one!

Mark, that is no doubt a one-off. Checkered binding was available as a special order for a very short time in the early 80's. You have a very special guitar there. Wherever did you find it?
I would venture a guess that no "MODEL 340" or "MODEL 370" TRC's exist.

Looks like it. If you find that you don't dig the middle and neck being tied together you can wire the fifth knob as a middle volume. Doesn't change the look of the guitar and only involves moving a couple of wires and grounding one side of the fifth knob pot. Easy and reversible. But if you want to keep the rare bird stock no one would argue with you!

That looks like a factory 3 PUP set-up to me.
Here's a picture of mine from earlier this year, before we took the soldering iron to it a few times and switching PUPs around. Mine is also a 1981 370 WB. Sorry it's not so clear -- limited focal range with the camera used.

Thanks chaps, exciting stuff eh!
I could only find reference/pictures of one other with special order double bound CB - a 360 on our very own forum at the bottom of page 3 linked below. There must be more out there!

I've popped it on the register and I'll take more pics for Jeff's photo thread when it's all cleaned up and looking purty.

I'll bet very few were made due to cost, and likely due to the presence of immature mindsets like mine who read "checkerboard" when ordering one's WB Rick and thought of pot heads wearing checkerboard pattern Vans slip on sneakers, or just thought it was over the top (still kicking self over it periodically

). Ah, young, dumb, and ordering a new Rick.

Brilliant song though and that video is one of the best I have seen in a long time.
