Hey, they've heard my ham-handed "playing" and I'm still allowed to attend! Right?!?!?

Re: GilFest®
Dang! If this was in Cleveland I could do it. But the time of year and travel typically doesn't work well with me.
In fact, I might be playing out that night. I met a lot of nice people at the first RIO (and their Rics
) that I hope to someday see again.
Expect nothing and you'll never be disappointed (and I mean that in an optimistic way).

Since it's "GilFest" you really oughta be a lock.

I wasn't the one who called it GilFestincubus2432 wrote:gibsonlp wrote:If I can get in - everyone can

So long and thanks for all the fish!
Re: GilFest®
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
Re: GilFest®
Works for me and makes a lot of sense. A restaurant for dinner anyway might be best too - definitely easier.ken_j wrote:My intentions are to use my living room. I can handle 12 to 15 people. Anything larger and I would need to find a place. Then find a restaurant for dinner. We first need to check dates with Gil. I am about a 15 minute drive from downtown Milford, so if we do it near here that leaves more time for Gil to be with family on this short visit.
Re: GilFest®
Detroit's do-able for me - just need the dates! I can probably bring one bass over the boarder - Gil's choice!
Re: GilFest®
Cool, this would be great, Steve!
Re: GilFest®
Oh I understand and have no doubt that's how you all are. But I might just be interested in soaking up the experience and meetingjps wrote:No need to be afraid of playing with any of us, we don't have egos big enough to expect everyone to be a fluent musician, when we get together it is to have fun.
more forum members. Every one I have met so far has been wonderful. I might be convinced to pick up a bass I guess. And be happy
to bring along any that I have. The most interesting being my 8 string conversion from Dane.

I'd like to see/play that!harrek wrote:The most interesting being my 8 string conversion from Dane.

Re: GilFest®
It may be a good idea for me to not play an 8 string........
