I do not post alot, however, I am here on the forum almost daily.
This is very interesting and useful information. I have looked at it, read the stats on several occasions.
My question is: Although I see the 4001C64 in the pricelist summary, I do not see the 4001C64S listed in the summary. Am I mis-reading it, or is the C64S info elsewhere?

Some models are still missing as the pricelist is pretty slow as it is,
I will soon split it into different categories (guitars, basses, amps, etc...) and once I'll do that - I'll add the missing models.

The Rickenbacker Pricelist has been updated and reorganized. We continue to make changes to the models entered. Nice work Gil.

Lefties are not taken into consideration as well.
There isn't too much lefty information, but up until now - the lefties were calculated along with the righty, now the right handed instruments are calculated without the lefties and those instruments which have lefty sale history are under their own list, this goes from the main pricelist to the individual item comparison to the charts.
As usual - please let me know of any errors you may see.

Great information...I've been on other forums where even ballpark price questions are met with a baseball bat over the head.
I'd like to see some kind of inspection checklist, if possible.

This is great work by Gil, thanks you!
I just have one remark to make and I know I've griped about this before...When someone sells a modded instrument that they've added into the registry which tanked in value due to the mod, with the same model number as a particular rare model had when it left the factory, it kills the value of the actual factory produced model in this pricelist.

Joey:
Not really, modified instruments are marked (or at least should be marked when entered) with "mod" as their special attribute, when you see a price for 4001/4 it includes only "standard" 4001/4 and does not take into consideration any instruments with any special designation (mod, refin, S, LH, C64, C64S, etc...)
And indeed, if you'll take a look at the pricelist you'll see 5 instruments listed as "4001/4 mod" and you clearly see that their price is lower than the standard instruments of those years, same goes for refinished instruments.

Just out of curiosity where are the sales numbers coming from? Is on the site only, or ebay, or...

Mostly from ebay. When items are entered from ebay, the item number is entered as well and the sell price, etc is automatically tracked. I'm not sure if there are other methods in place as well though...

Ah, I was wondering as some sample data is only from a few numbers sold. Sometimes only 1-2 units.

This is statistical information and you can't do statistics on 1 item
