i'll try to contact the guy asking if he wants to ship here, otherwise i guess i'll buy the saddles from the guy (he's from UK) and i will file them myself

I have a lefty '79 4001, and I need to change one saddle, to solve intonation problems.

I found this part. Will it work ?



And also... I'm from France, so I'm very interested if somebody from uk or us could receive and send me back the piece...

These saddles will work IF...they are from the current production and not new old stock from the last production run of these. The new saddles have a shorter foot, which puts the hole in the right place. They are NOT machined, but still die-cast zinc. I suspect they will also work on a pre-73 bridge too.

I bought several new saddles about a three weeks ago and they are not compatible with a pre-July '73 bridge (screw hole still a bit too low). I actually noted that one of the five I bought had the hole slightly higher than the other three (maybe I got a mix of production runs?), so I kept that one and sent the other four to Eden for his 8 stringer.

I ended using the one I kept and using the aluminum foil trick to take up the space.
Can we have everything louder than everything else?
