Melissa,

I think I recognize that guitar. Is that you on YouTube doing the comparison between the Toasters and Hi-Gains? If so, thanks for the video. I always thought I would want toasters, but I actually prefer the sound of the Hi-Gains. I WILL get toasters for my 4003FL because it does the DB sound so well.

Thanks,

LEL

Good eye, LEL! Yes,that was me on YouTube doing the 12-string comparisons. I originally made that video because a friend wanted to hear the difference between the two before making a decision on which 12-string to purchase.... but I left the video up because so many other people watched it and responded favorably to it. I personally like the hi-gains better myself. This really surprised me, because I sold my lovely 330/12 with hi-gains in order to buy the 360v64, which I thought I would like more. I regretted selling the 330/12 for a long time, and then was finally able to grab the 360 WB from eBay for a fair price. The V64 is a gorgeous guitar, but when I need a Ric 12-string I usually use the 360 WB, because the darker depth of the tone just seems to work better for the kind of music I write and play.

Great thread!!! I'm also a fan of the 360 double-bound instruments, mine being in the form of a V64 six and a V64 twelve....both fantastic guitars.

I really like that Ruby 360 WB. Is that a metallic color?...it's hard for me to tell on my computer monitor.

It's a red/burgundy tint over a silver base Ron, so the silver reflects light through the colour making it really come alive. This finish must have been a lot of extra work for Rickenbacker, because it looks like they would have to spray and scrape back the binding twice..and the binding is CB both sides, so I'm not surprised I haven't seen another one the same.

The sound hole is unbound - so that saved some time :D
