Not Phoenix that I'm aware of (daughter and sibs there), maybe Tucson?shamustwin wrote:Isn't Arizona posting travel advisories on their highways near Phoenix because of the violent Mexican drug cartels?johnallg wrote:Dude..... Southern Arizona.![]()

Hey, I'm a good 200 miles south of where I used to live, it should be a LOT warmer here!paologregorio wrote:I do not understand why you're surprised, CJ; "Winter in South Western Montana" just sounds icy cold.![]()

Actually, I understand the So. Cal mentality quite well as I lived there from 1962 until 1976, and then again from 1985 to 1989. I've gotta say, I do miss the surfing, but much else...

Re: Winter in South Western Montana
Wish I could post pics. I have some great sunrise shots from last weekend in San Felipe, BC. The days were clear and in the mid 80's. God, how I love (and HATE) Southern California.
Re: Winter in South Western Montana
That's OK, CJ. They say that people who live in very cold climates live longer. Well actually, they don't live longer; it just SEEMS longer. One of the big reasons that I traded Connecticut for SoCal was that you don't need to shovel the smog. Tomcjj wrote:Aw come on man, 37 is downright toasty!![]()

What is this Fahrenheit stuff anyway?
Enjoy your cold snap CJ. Go ride a tractor or a skidoo or something.

I thought we went to Freezeneyworld instead of Disneyworld that day!
Well, I knew Disney did some cool effects, but that was a bit over the top.

Yeah, but we don't breath the snow in to our bodies.beatbyrd wrote:One of the big reasons that I traded Connecticut for SoCal was that you don't need to shovel the smog. Tom
Re: Winter in South Western Montana
Fahrenheit is a temperature system we use here in the U.S. so that when it's cold, we don't feel so bad. I mean, the other night when it was -12F, if I'd been using Celsius, I have had to say it was -24, which sounds a LOT worse. On the other hand, when it's hot, we can make it sound a whole lot worse. Saying it's 95 out sounds FAR more miserable than a measly 35...winston wrote:What is this Fahrenheit stuff anyway?Enjoy your cold snap CJ. Go ride a tractor or a skidoo or something.
I don't have a tractor anymore.

Well, I dunno... when it's snowing and blowing, I seem to manage to breathe a fair amount of the stuff...jps wrote:Yeah, but we don't breath the snow in to our bodies.beatbyrd wrote:One of the big reasons that I traded Connecticut for SoCal was that you don't need to shovel the smog. That looks like a great winter toy CJ. Cat's version of a Bobcat with a heated cab too by the look of it.
