Right now, it's a buyer's/collector's market, and there are terrific deals to be found in new and old Rickenbackers of all descriptions.
True, oh how true that is. :D
If Mozart were with us today, he'd play a Fireglo 4001C64! ~~~*~~~ Beethoven, on the other hand, would play a Matte Jetglo 4001C64S!

you have to watch out constantly.
A month or so ago, a AF 330/12 sold for about 1100 euro on ebay Spain, which is dirt cheap by European standards.

market has now stabilized, sellers haven't, prices for used non-vintage guitars have been over priced for a while now.

That was a good buy for someone at about $200 less than what I paid for my 1997 a year ago! I watched it and figured it was going to go for at least $2000.

The tail peice on that guitar would have been an easy thing to correct back.

Used stuff on ebay is way overpriced ..A 660 or a 620 is less money new than used. I am referring to 6 string..I haven't researched 12 strings. 1279.00 and 1899.00 . The 660 being less popular used is slightly lower or higher but the 620 is 200.00 - 300.00 more. In some cases 500.00. Same with the 350v63. I found one Brand new at a Authorized Dealer for 2100.00 Delivered. Not as good as the 1995.00 I paid new 2 years ago. Look at online used 2499.00 for a newer one.

The items aren't selling though.

I approached someone wanting 2495.00 for a fireglo 660. He wouldn't budge. Told me they were impossible to find in that color.

However if you watch there are good deals to be had.

I just purchased a brand new 4003 for $1,375.00 That's the absolute best price I've seen.

You can get great deals on the new stuff. Dealers are motivated to move inventory.

And I agree, Ebay stuff is WAY OVERPRICED. I'm not sure the economic reality has sunk in for some folks.

True!

That paradise might be sprouting some weeds though.
