Thank you sir, please excuse the teh brand x basses on my FB pages, the REAL basses will be photo'd and put up over the Holidays... that's the plan anyway. For whatever reason I have zero pics of my Rickenbackers.

Beauty CJ , those strings are the finest I've ever had the pleasure using , I now have all my basses and guitars strung up with them . Highly recommended
btw I see you still have your bridge base on , I took mine off and was able to get perfect low action , plays like butta !

Yeah, I am going to give that a try. I was kind of waiting until I took it all apart to route a hole for the 3rd pickup, but then I had to sell my house and move. Things have been a tad hectic since...

aceonbass wrote:I like the 2-piece neck a lot. It's a little thinner than the old necks and quite strong, with no flexing at the body joint on 4-2-5 conversions. Here's my new '09 Cii with a few mods. I swapped the gold out with Paul Boyer for his chrome and then swapped his truss rod cover with another forum member for a white molded one. The body has been routed for the 4003 style bridge pickup set-up, but still uses the original HB1's. It's wired VVT with RIC vintage knobs, and also has a set of D'Addario flat wounds on it. This will eventually transition into a 4-2-5er, but I'm enjoying it the way it is for a little while longer.
Hey I remember this bass!!

Very nice Dale. What diameter strings are on it; they look substantial. Chromes, I believe?

So, now it's a 4003.5Cii/5? Or perhaps a 4007Cii/5...
