All I need to know is if the 4003SB is even listed, and if so, what was the price. I have page 2 of the 10-1-84 list, but no listing of the B models on it. Small details, but I'm trying to be thorough.
TIA
Paul there is a 1982 4003 SB up on Ebay this week. (Auction 290551244672)

Hmm, I thought the B series basses had the shedua strip down the neck.

From looking at the one pictured in the advert announcing the B series you would seem to be correct!
But I have a feeling that there was not much design consistancy - John Hall has said that the whole B series was a poorly conceived marketing disaster that happened while his father was under going medical treatment and before he rejoined the company in 1983...
I think the real B series instruments are from mid 1982 (the ad came out in late spring I think) to the late spring of 1983...
The stereo outputs on what was originally a mono bass is but a case in point...
Course in the absence of more examples it is hard to say... The only B series instrument I ever saw in person was a 1982 320B at Long and McQuades in Toronto circa the fall of 1982.
